Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America recently commissioned message testing in battleground states to see how the abortion issue is playing out with voters, reports The Daily Wires.
The pro-life organization asked Evolving Strategies to see how effective different types of abortion messages were in Iowa. The theme of the messages called out candidates who support elective abortion in the third trimester.

The “attack” message specifically pointed out Democrats for supporting these late-term abortions. It was the most effective in shifting Republican vote margins by 3.3 points in the governor race and 4.4 points for the Senate race.
However, the overall margin for prolife candidates in general fell between 4.4 and 5.0 points.
“In 2024, a shift of 4 points towards Republicans would have meant a 57-seat majority in the Senate,” Marjorie Dannenfelser, SBA Pro-Life president, wrote in a memo to GOP candidates.
Currently, Republicans only hold 53 seats, and Dannenfelser noted how this shift toward Democrats would have resulted in Republicans losing the House and presidency.
Kelsey Pritchard, a spokeswoman for SBA Pro-Life, says new research reveals that Republican candidates have a powerful, underutilized tool: simply exposing their opponents’ records.
“What we found is that if Republicans simply expose Democrat extremism, that Democrats are for abortion until birth, that they can’t draw a line at any point... Voters are shocked when they learn that, and that is a smart political strategy for Republicans because they can move a race in their direction by a margin of four to five points,” Pritchard says.
She warns that the Republican Party cannot afford to run solely on economic concerns, arguing that a unified stance on protecting life is vital to countering national Democratic efforts.
“This is a crucial election for life because the Democrats have a national plan to establish abortion up until birth in every single state. They have a national plan to do that, to end every pro-life law that exists,” Pritchard states.
