Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas, an affiliate of the baby-killing organization, announced it had received a $25,000 grant from the Mavericks in a March 14 Twitter post.
Sure enough, the Mavs Foundation listed Planned Parenthood among other grant recipients for 2022-2023. The description for the donation states it will be used to subsidize “healthcare services” for 90 low-income individuals.
Kyleen Wright of the Texans for Life Coalition tells AFN the grant funds will be used to transport women out of Texas, a pro-life state, to obtain abortions in another state. Because those women will most likely be sent to a second Planned Parenthood clinic, Wright views the grant money as a “kickback” to the same abortion group.
“So it's still going on,” she says, “They're still making money at the expense of women and babies.”

Wright points out the same Dallas Mavericks that claims it is helping women was mired in a sexual misconduct controversy involving Terdema Ussery, the now-former team president. After a Sports Illustrated story described a hostile work place for women, a firm hired to investigate confirmed 15 female employees described improper conduct on the job.
As soon as the seven-month inquiry confirmed a pattern of sexual harassment, Mavericks owner Mark Cuban hired a woman as CEO and announced he was contributing $10 million to "women's causes," NPR reported in a 2018 story.
