A school trustee at a religious institution recently took issue with his own faith, surprising many in attendance at a school board meeting.

Jack Fonseca of Campaign Life Coalition (CLC) says at their recent meeting, most Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) trustees touted the upcoming CLC-sponsored and Archdiocese-endorsed "Lift Jesus Higher" event.

"The Toronto Catholic District School Board has a bunch of liberal, anti-Catholic dissidents on the board as elected trustees who honestly … seem to despise the Catholic faith," Fonseca explains. "They seem to despise Catholic moral teachings."

After a spokesman gave a presentation to the board promoting the event, pro-LGBT trustee Markus de Domenico made a statement that set him apart from the rest on the issue.

"Marcus de Domenico in Ward 2 says, 'I would like to register that I oppose any event that is sponsored by Campaign Life Coalition, and I would not recommend any of my constituents to attend it,'" the pro-lifer relays.

Campaign Life Coalition is a national pro-life organization working at all levels of government to secure full legal protection for all human beings, from the time of conception to natural death. Fonseca points out that the Catholic Church is likewise very much opposed to abortion and in fact calls it murder.

"In essence, he both opposed a pro-life organization whose mission is to save babies from prenatal murder, as well as opposed a Catholic rally to lift Jesus higher," Fonseca says about de Domenico. "So, he opposed Jesus."

Life Site News quotes Helena Karabela of another Catholic school district as saying she sees Campaign Life Coalition as "Canada's premier political pro-life organization."
