Pope obligated to bring up forbidden topic in Biden meeting

A pro-life leader is not confident the subject of abortion will come up when President Biden meets with Pope Francis today.

Hugh Brown, vice president of American Life League, reports that abortion is actually on Biden's submitted list of subjects not to discuss during the visit. Biden is Catholic, but he supports abortion, which the Catholic Church considers to be murder.

"I think we'd respect him a lot more if he just said, I'm not Catholic, never have been. I don't agree with the church on the things that matter with regards to life and death, and we might respect him maybe just a tad bit more," Brown submits. "But he's a hypocrite. When they talk about a wolf in sheep's clothing, it's exactly what a wolf in sheep's clothing is -- someone who says, 'I'm one thing,' but absolutely dedicates his life to doing another."

Brown says Biden has become a pillar of death. And even though the subject is not on the agenda, Pope Francis could still bring it up. As a shepherd, in fact, Brown believes the pope is obligated to do so. And if the president does not "turn this thing around," then he says scripture clearly supports his excommunication.

"This isn't a disagreement over property lines or immigration or taxes or plastic bottles," the pro-lifer notes. "We're dealing with life and death, the slaughter of 65 million human beings."

Regardless, Brown is not confident that Pope Francis will bring about any sort of correction.
