A California group was not pleased to see a new report that found the state is giving free sex change procedures to homeless illegal aliens.

The information comes from Christopher Rufo of Manhattan Institute. He posted on X that his team “went into the shelters and discovered that trans migrants are coming into the state for hormones, breast implants, and ‘bottom surgeries’—all on the taxpayer dime.”

Greg Burt, vice president of California Family Council, says it's crazy, and the general public knows it's crazy.

“It's a super discouragement for people working every day, trying to put food on the table, trying to pay their mortgage, to know that this kind of money is being spent on folks coming across the border, getting super expensive cosmetic surgeries that are actually harming them,” states Burt.

In fact, he says that they are attracting people from poor countries who couldn’t afford this surgery in their homeland.

“But here in California, we're attracting them to come and say, “Hey, we'll pay for it, the taxpayers will pay the bill’,” says Burt. "It's very discouraging for the average working man and woman."

Rufo also posted a street interview on X with trans immigrant who had received the hormones and breast implants and is currently waiting on the “bottom surgery.”

"Their commitment to abortion is over the top, and they're now treating these gender drugs and surgeries kind of the same way," Burt says about California state lawmakers. "The harder we push, the more evidence we put up, the more stubborn they seem to become. So, it's really up to the California population."

Burt says people have got to get involved in the political process, whether that's talking to lawmakers, making sure they're paying attention to the issues, or voting out the ones who make bad decisions.

"That's what we encourage here at the California Family Council," states Burt. "You can't ignore what your politicians are doing. You've got to get involved. We have a big governor's race coming up, and so now is the time to make a change."
