Attorney: Two-tiered justice under Biden is clearly one-sided

Pointing to recent whistleblower testimony, a former attorney for Donald Trump says there's no way the two-tiered system of justice currently run under the Biden administration can in any way be unbiased.

The House Ways and Means Committee recently released testimony from two IRS whistleblowers who said officials with the Justice Department stonewalled efforts to investigate Hunter Biden.

"Whistleblowers describe how the Biden Justice Department intervened and overstepped in a campaign to protect the son of Joe Biden by delaying, divulging, and denying an ongoing investigation into Hunter Biden's alleged tax crimes," said Committee chair Jason Smith (R-Missouri).

"The testimony shows tactics used by the Justice Department to delay the investigation long enough to reach the statute of limitations, evidence they divulged sensitive actions by the investigative team to Biden's attorneys, and denied requests by the U.S. Attorney to bring charges against Biden."

Clearly, said the Committee, the federal government "is not treating all taxpayers the same" – and providing "preferential treatment to the wealthy and well-connected, including the son of the President of the United States."

During an appearance Tuesday on American Family Radio, attorney Jenna Ellis weighed in on the latest revelations in the Hunter and Joe Biden saga.

"The DOJ is not looking at Joe Biden's dealings with Burisma, the possible instances of genuinely going against the United States in his capacity as vice president, and his dealings with Hunter Biden," she argued. "Because if you go after Hunter Biden and there is a 'there' there, then who do you have as a potential co-conspirator? Well, Joe Biden – and then you run into a problem."

Congressman Smith said when it comes to criminal enforcement, Americans "deserve to know … they are not on the same playing field as the wealthy and politically connected class." Ellis interprets that to mean the DOJ is clearly giving preferential treatment to Democrats.

"If Joe Biden and Hunter Biden were Republicans, would this be happening? Absolutely not," she said, answering her own question. "This just shows that the two-tiered system of justice – and especially a justice system that is currently run by Biden – cannot be in any way unbiased or just reasonable."

Redacted transcripts of the whistleblowers' testimony have been released to the public (here).
