To regularly inform and remind Christians of the ongoing persecution their brothers and sisters face, International Christian Concern publishes a Global Persecution Index, and Open Doors has a World Watch List, a ranking of the 50 countries where Christians face the most extreme persecution.
"The thing that they ask for most of all, every time, is … prayers," Ryan Brown of Open Doors US recently told AFN. "They want to know that they have not been forgotten by their global body of believers."
The Voice of the Martyrs' (VOM) Global Prayer Guide helps believers learn how to pray for their persecuted family around the world.
"It basically gives you the countries where Christians are persecuted, and then for each of those countries, it gives you a little more knowledge to add to your prayers so that you can pray more than just 'God bless persecuted Christians,'" VOM's Todd Nettleton details.
He says one of his prayers is that the persecuted will know that at any given moment, "someone is praying for them, that they are not forgotten."
