When Pete Hegseth was sworn in as President Donald Trump's Secretary of Defense, it didn't take him long to dump the woke policies of the previous administration and begin the process of reshaping the Pentagon and implementing Trump's agenda of improving lethality, warfighting and readiness.
Gordon Klingenschmitt is an Air Force Academy graduate who served as an Air Force missile launch officer. He says the Colorado Springs, Colorado school no longer has a woke superintendent.
"The three-star general Superintendent of the Air Force Academy, General Richard Clark, has decided to retire from the service. He was the guy appointed by Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin to fire Air Force cadets and to issue letters of reprimand against Christians who refused the vaccine on the basis of their conscience. He punished their First Amendment freedom of religion. So, people like that are retiring, thank God! The military will be better without them."
Klingenschmitt says the new superintendent, Tony Bauernfeind, was his classmate at the academy.
"Tony Bauernfeind will be the right man for the job. He's going to lead the cadet wing into the next generation of merit-based performance, merit-based promotions and merit-based training without the DEI woke classroom lectures that were telling recruiters for example in the Air Force, ‘don't hire too many white male fighter pilots because that's not fair.’”
Klingenschmitt says the cadets are very pleased with the change.
“They know that racism is a sin, and they're not going to fall for being trained to do racism to promote less qualified people over more qualified people."
