For nearly four decades, Tim Todd has carried a distinct burden for America's young people. Through Revival Fires International, his mission centers on a bold strategy: equipping students to bring the Word of God directly into public school hallways.
Officially trademarked in 1999, the Truth for Youth Bible initiative aims to counter secular influences in public schools, restore student religious freedoms and share the Christian gospel.
In its formative years, the outreach operated on a much smaller scale, successfully placing roughly 51,500 Bibles annually and accumulating an early lifetime total of 750,000 copies.
The ministry's multi-decade partnership with the American Family Association has been a massive catalyst for its continued growth. Through major distribution avenues—including evangelistic crusades, television broadcasts, and internet outreach—the lifetime footprint has surged past 2.5 million copies.
Todd recently told American Family Radio that as of Sunday night, this year's ambitious goal of 65,000 was shattered.
"We reached 65,250 Bibles ... that are going to be given away into the hands of high schoolers who don't know the Lord," he relayed.
He also talked about the logistics of processing and mailing tens of thousands of books. The task requires heavy lifting from local volunteers, including staff from Teen Challenge and the Assembly of West Monroe in Louisiana.
"We have to be careful about how much we put on each vehicle," Todd noted. "We actually had a couple of vehicles that have broken down because we put too much on them."
With the Bibles now packaged and shipped, Todd says the real impact is just beginning, and he anticipates a ripple effect of faith as students take the books to school.
"Sixty-five thousand Christian young people taking 65,000 Bibles to school and giving them to 65,000 unsaved young people—we're going to see a massive harvest as a result of it," Todd asserted.
