Lactation drug harms mentally confused men, innocent babies

It’s like something out of a dystopian future: the federal government has approved a dangerous drug for men to pretend they can breastfeed a baby.

Thanks to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, doctors can now prescribe a three-drug cocktail that includes an anti-psychotic drug, a high-dose hormone, and a sedative that are given to a mentally confused male patient who wants to lactate.

Autumn Leva of Family Policy Alliance, who has been tracking the CDC’s defense of transgenderism, says the lactation drug Domperidone is particularly dangerous because it is linked to fatal heart problems, including an irregular heartbeat and even cardiac arrest.

“That's why the FDA hasn't approved it,” she says.

The dangers of Domperidone are well known by the Food and Drug Administration, which issued a public warning back in 2004. AFN found an FDA alert from 2021 which backed up Leva’s description of serious heart-related side effects.

As if Domperidone isn’t dangerous enough, Leva says, allowing a man to ingest it to create lactation means the baby is now drinking what she calls a “false form” of lactated milk when a mother's milk is supposed to give the baby vital nutrients to live and to grow.

So she concludes the CDC is “throwing aside” the health of newborns and babies, and endangering the health of transgender people, in order to promote the belief that men can breastfeed a child if they are given enough drugs to change their bodies.
