This is CNN: Ya know, Hunter's laptop a problem for his dad

The infamous blackmail-filled laptop owned by Hunter Biden is mysteriously being discussed by left-wing media after being ignored for almost two years but a media analyst says the reason is no mystery considering the doddering, poll-challenged occupant in the White House.

On the CNN show “Reliable Sources,” viewers who were watching July 9 witnessed show host Brian Stelter (pictured above) call the laptop issue “a real problem for the Bidens” and “not just a right-wing media story.”

For the Democrat voters watching at home, that observation might have struck like lighting.

Ever since The New York post published a pre-election blockbuster, the Far Left has treated the laptop like kryptonite. NPR literally reported on why it refused to report on it rather than describing the emails, and The New York Times called the laptop’s content “unsubstantiated” in a story that bashed its New York City rival for its exclusive story.

At the same time, a letter signed by former high-level intelligence officials helped Democrat candidate Joe Biden by stating they were “deeply suspicious” the Russian government was involved in the controversy.

“If we are right,” they wrote, “this is Russia trying to influence how Americans vote in this election, and we believe strongly that Americans need to be aware of this.”

As it turned out, they were not right. In a New York Times story, published earlier this year, the liberal news outlet admitted the laptop and in particular its emails had been “authenticated” by people familiar with them.

Back at CNN, after the show host made that observation this weekend, media watchdog Media Research Center happily pointed out the very same CNN host had questioned the laptop’s authenticity in 2020 and called the issue a “classic example of the right-wing media machine.”

So what changed for CNN’s media analyst to make such a head-spinning, 180-degree turn?

Houck, Curtis (MRC) Houck

MRC spokesman Curtis Houck says the answer is pretty simple: Democrats are looking ahead to the 2024 election without Joe Biden, and Brian Stelter is watching out for the Democratic Party.

“Joe Biden, and his number of gaffes and flubs of incompetence, and the lack of cognitive control,” Houck says, “has left the news media to really kind of go fishing to try to find things to glob onto.”

To put it in simpler terms, Houck adds, Joe Biden is unelectable but Democrats have a plan: Use the laptop against Biden after ignoring it in 2020 to get rid of Donald Trump.
