Republican Mike Lawler is fighting to hold on to his seat in a key battleground district. Fortunately, the 17th District incumbent has a huge campaign war chest to spend in the nation's most expensive media market. Republicans are reportedly outspending Democrats by more than 40-to-1 on current and future ad buys.
In addition to everything he has going for him, Lawler, a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee, recently told the Fox News Channel he believes the Democrats have provided him a gift: Hasan Piker.
"You have someone who is becoming, in many respects, a spokesperson for the Democratic Party … saying that America deserved 9/11, or that if you support Israel as a Jew in America, you should expect some type of violence against you," Lawler told Mark Levin.
Hasan Piker (pictured above) is a prominent progressive Twitch streamer and left-wing commentator who has recently renewed intense backlash from conservatives and moderate Democrats alike for controversial rhetoric surrounding Middle East conflicts, including criticisms of Israel and comments regarding Hamas and American Jews.
Additionally, his public feuds with conservative figures, such as the late Charlie Kirk, continue to fuel widespread outrage across right-wing media and political campaigns.
Just last month, he mocked Kirk and sang an AI-generated meme song about him during a live touring show while his podcast co-hosts laughed on stage.
"This guy is absolutely insane," Lawler continued. "That's what's at stake. This is about common sense versus crazy, common sense versus communism. This lunatic has no place in our politics."
But the Democratic Party is quickly being taken over by these radical socialists.
"Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer are useless," Lawler said. "They don't have a backbone. They don't stand for anything. If I asked you what is it that they're running on, other than 'I hate Trump,' they don't have a platform. They don't have policies that they're advocating for."
Jeffries has strongly rejected Piker's suggestion that American Jews who strongly support Israel are "inviting violence against themselves" and his comparing Israel to a "Jewish ISIS."
While he did not explicitly call out Piker by name, Jeffries blasted the rhetoric, stating, "The malicious claim that American Jews are inviting violence against themselves is dangerous and antisemitic."
Schumer, the highest-ranking Jewish elected official in American political history, has remained publicly silent but faces intense political pressure over the streamer's influence on the Democratic Party.
