DEI to blame for noticeable transformation

Thanks to leftist student groups, an education research fellow says the University of Texas-Austin is no longer the school it was just a few years ago.

John Sailer of the National Association of Scholars (NAS) says UT-Austin's core value of seeking truth has been seriously compromised because of the radical engineering and restructuring nearly every academic area of the school has undergone.

"In a matter of about six years, you have a total overhaul of university policy on the basis of this kind of vague ideal of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE)," he tells about his findings on the school's transformation.

One of his biggest areas of concern is the effect the DEI restructuring is having on the school's employment policies.

"The university is also moving to adopt a policy that would essentially require DEI assessments for faculty promotion and tenure," he relays. "So in order to keep your job, you have to continue to demonstrate your commitment to this cause."

At this point, Sailer says it is up to state lawmakers to take action and redirect UT-Austin back toward its basic mission of achieving excellence with integrity.
