Educators called out for 'ideological grooming' of student

Two California teachers have been put on administrative leave after outraged parents accused the two of covertly "grooming" students into transgender and LGBTQ lifestyles.

Parents of a 12-year-old girl at Buena Vista Middle School in Salinas condemned teachers Kelly Baraki and Lori Calderia at a mid-December school board meeting for allegedly coaxing their daughter into believing she is a trans boy. According to LifesiteNews, the two teachers also changed the girl's name and pronouns with the support of administrators – but without parental permission.

Higgins, Laurie (Illinois Family Institute) Higgins

Laurie Higgins of the Illinois Family Institute claims the girl was "groomed."

"I call it ideological grooming," she tells AFN. "They find vulnerable populations and then they lure them in with ideas and friendship and kindness and approval and affirmations."

The Epoch Times says the school reported the mother to Child Protective Services for unfit parenting. There is now an effort to have the two educators fired. Higgins is onboard with that.

"They should come down as hard as they can on [the teachers] because what they did was so egregiously evil," she states. "Hopefully, it will send a chill down the spines of other activists."

The young girl has been enrolled in a new school where she is using her female birth and feminine pronouns.

Baraki and Calderia are at the center of another controversy at Buena Vista Middle in early December. The two admitted to "stalking" their own students by reviewing what topics they looked up during virtual learning, then recruiting them into the school's Gay Straight Alliance club. They now claim that comment was made "tongue in cheek."
