During the month, people are being urged to participate in fostering a child, perhaps leading to adoption. There are also other children, including newborns, needing a forever home.
Heather Featherston of Lifetime Adoption tells AFN women with unplanned pregnancies can choose what is called “modern adoption” so they can maintain contact after giving up the child to a loving family.
“They need to know,” Featherston says of those new mothers, “that they have choices in choosing modern adoption.”
The appeal of “modern adoption” has not gone unnoticed at Lifetime Adoption, which now trains pregnancy centers, medical professionals, and hospital staff about the practice.
