New initiative seeks to bring the Third Great Awakening in March

An upcoming prayer event aims to bring about revival, and any church can be a participant.

From March 1-4, the Great American Prayer Revival (GAP26) is going to emphasize "getting right with Jesus and rededicating our country to following Jesus as the way, the truth, and the life."

This faith-based initiative aims to ignite the Third Great Awakening across the U.S. The purpose of which is “to unify diverse communities through prayer, worship, and outreach to address societal challenges and foster national spiritual renewal.”

One of their leading verses is Ezekiel 22:30, which states that the Lord found no man to “stand in the gap” on before Him on behalf of the land. GAP26 seeks to fill that gap while keeping in mind 2nd Chronicles 7:14 — the Lord will forgive the sins and heal the land of those who humble themselves and turn from their sin.

Hank Erwin is the founder and president of the GAP26. Talking about this on American Family Radio (AFR), he said that it is amazing what happens when people get focused back on the Lord instead of focusing on the chaos of the day.

"We're saying The Great American Prayer Revival is an answer, and it works. We're going to have it in all 50 states. It starts March 1 with a prayer meeting, unbelievable, all over the United States and every state of the union, and it's going to be the first ever attempted national revival in American history," states Erwin.

More information can be found on the website for Great American Prayer Revival, which is gap-event.org. Visitors that click on the Get Involved button will find all the resources they need on how to participate.

"We're asking every pastor in America to preach on revival on that day in your church. When revival comes, crime goes down, chaos vanishes, peace and harmony returns, families go up, abortion goes down, divorce goes down, prosperity goes up, and America goes back to its senses," says Erwin.
