Washington, D.C., is ready to welcome the intercessors attending this year's annual prayer gathering.

"From the beginning, America has understood that liberty flourishes only when grounded in faith, humility, and dependence on the Lord. America needs God," the Family Research Council (FRC) recently told American Family News as it gears up to host its fourth annual National Gathering for Prayer & Repentance this week at the Museum of the Bible.

This year's program will include moments of worship and remarks from speakers like FRC President Tony Perkins, Pastor Jim Garlow of Well Versed, U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana), and David Barton of WallBuilders.

Representatives from all 50 states, international leaders, and Christian pastors will also be at the gathering.

Former Representative Jody Hice, now a senior fellow at FRC, calls this "one of the most important spiritual events that will take place in our nation."

People are invited and encouraged to seek the Lord together live or online in a spirit of humility, brokenness, contrition, and repentance, asking Him to heal America at this pivotal moment.

"Either way, we urge you to pray about what's about to take place," says Hice.

Museum doors open at 6 a.m. Eastern, and the event runs from 7-10:30 a.m. this Wednesday, Feb. 4. Prayer topics will include leadership, the states, and war-torn and persecuted areas.
