Regarding Title IX, a conservative commentator is glad that Trump's pick for education secretary is on the same page as Sen. Tommy Tuberville and other "conservative culture warriors."

The former Auburn University football coach has voiced his concern for America after four years of Joe Biden's governance, and in August he was among the GOP senators who called on the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) to ban males from competing in women's college sports.

Now, based off his recent meeting with Linda McMahon, the president-elect's cabinet pick for the U.S. Department of Education, Elizabeth Mitchell of The Daily Signal says they appear to be "on the same page."

"She thinks that men should not be playing a woman's sports," Mitchell summarizes.

The Alabama senator has long warned that Title IX is in trouble because of the changes the Biden administration has made to it – namely redefining "sex" to include gender identity and threatening "federal funding for institutions that don't want boys in girls bathrooms and don't want men playing women's sports."

"That would be a huge issue if that were to happen," the reporting fellow agrees.

She notes that Tuberville has said, "If we stay on this path, in five years, you won't have women's sports." But at their meeting, he and McMahon discussed ensuring that Title IX is funded, and Tuberville is confident that the future secretary of education is "totally against" men competing in women's sports.
