History shows us not to get caught up in climate change

It happens after many natural disasters these days. People and politicians blame man-made climate change, but one skeptic says this is just more fearmongering.

"This is nothing short of weaponizing the weather," adds Marc Morano of Climate Depot. "Hurricanes Helene and Milton were not unprecedented, were not unusual, in fact Ron DeSantis actually handled the media questions on this brilliantly."

Pointing back to the mid-1800s, Morano says there have been about 27 hurricanes similar to or more powerful than Milton.

What about the '40s?

There were "17 occurring prior to 1960," Moran continues. "The 1940s had some of the worst hurricanes, so, nothing unusual happened in Florida, and nothing unusual is happening globally."

Politicians blaming man-made climate change include Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-New York City) and former Vice President Al Gore (D-Tennessee).

"Until we take serious action to solve this crisis, we will continue to see this climate chaos," Gore posted on X following Hurricane Helene.

Meanwhile, hurricane specialist John Morales of NBC 6 South Florida became emotional while reporting on Hurricane Milton's rapid growth.

"I apologize. This is just horrific," he said.

Bill Nye the (liberal) Science Guy

Aaron Regunberg, a former Democratic state legislator and senior climate policy counsel at Public Citizen, wrote an Op-ed in Newsweek that says Big Oil must pay for storm damage, meaning oil companies knew about the dangers of mankind's use of fossil fuels and downplayed the risks.

Even so, Morano is not swayed.

"Bill Nye claimed we could prevent hurricanes if we vote the right way, implying that the vote for Kamala Harris is a vote for less hurricanes and less extreme weather," says Morano. "This is all about fear just like Covid, and they're trying to get us to support Kamala Harris. They're trying to get us to support that zero in the UN climate process and Green New Deal. That's all this is, lobbying trying to claim that science is on their side."
