Steven Ertelt, editor of Life News, said Trump has done a lot since reentering office.
"One of the things that President Trump did is expand the Mexico City policy," said Ertelt. "That helps make sure that our tax dollars don't go to groups, that go to other countries, and either end the lives of babies in abortions or promote abortions by trying to get those countries to change their laws in a pro-abortion direction."
It’s a “big deal” to defund the international flow of money for abortions, he added, and President Trump has done so across the federal government.
Ertelt also appreciates the administration for making sure taxpayers are not funding medical research on babies killed in abortions.
"Abortion is bad enough,” he argued, “but it's even worse to exploit that baby and to take parts from that dead baby and use it for dubious research.”
That research has never produced any positive results, or cured any diseases, or helped a patient recover from an illness, Ertelt told AFN.
Meanwhile, Ertelt said the Trump administration should and could do more to stop abortion pills.
"We had a news story at Life News just the other day about how we have reached the point where there are over 600,000 babies killed with the abortion pill every year," said Ertelt.
"This isn't the surgical abortions, this is the abortion pill," he continued. "And we have to do something, we have to put limits in place, we have to stop it, and ultimately someday we have to ban it."
After the Supreme Court overturned Roe v Wade, and gave the issue of abortion back to the states, the Biden administration took steps to increase and ease women’s access to abortion pills. Those policies have not been reversed by the pro-life Trump administration, according to Ertelt and other pro-life leaders.
