Several states could be voting on abortion in 2026.

Steven Ertelt, editor of Life News, said pro-lifers need to get up, get out, and get educated on how they should vote.

"In Missouri, Amendment 3 is back," said Ertelt. "It's the same number as the previous amendment that allowed abortions, but this pro-life Amendment 3 is going to be on the ballot."

Missouri Amendment 3 is also known as the Prohibit Abortion and Gender Transition Procedures for Minors Amendment.

As explained by Ballotpedia, a "yes" vote supports amending the Missouri Constitution to do three things:

-- repeal the constitutional right to reproductive freedom, which voters ratified in 2024.

-- prohibit abortions except in cases of "medical emergency, fetal anomaly, rape, or incest," with a 12-week gestational limit in cases of rape or incest.

-- prohibit gender transition surgeries for minors, as well as the prescription or administration of cross-sex hormones or puberty-blocking drugs to minors, with an exception for treatments "unrelated to the purpose of a gender transition.”

A "no" vote opposes amending the Missouri Constitution, keeping the existing constitutional right to reproductive freedom, and not adding provisions that prohibit abortion and gender transition surgeries.

Klein, Susan (Missouri Right to Life) Klein

"We encourage people to vote yes on the Amendment 3 in 2026," Susan Klein of Missouri Right to Life told AFN. "But even at that, after we pass that, there's still work to be done. We have to work to protect every baby and every mom and let her know that she has an option, she doesn't have to choose abortion, that there is help out there for her to choose life."

Virginia could be another state voting on abortion in 2026.

"We know pretty much for sure that Virginia is going to have a radical, pro-abortion amendment," said Ertelt. "It's going to be abortions up to birth, on demand, no-limits, taxpayer funded potentially, and so that's an amendment that pro-life voters need to get out and oppose next year."
