Every year, Gallup releases a poll on sanctity of life issues. They usually conduct the poll in May and release the findings in June.
The questions tend to be the same, leading people to view this as a good tool to track public opinion over time.
Pro-life activist Michael J. New from the Lozier Institute says this year's poll found an increase in pro-life sentiment among young adults. He mainly compares the years 2023 and 2025 within the age group of 18 to 29.
“They ask questions like, 'Do you identify as pro-life or pro-choice?' Within two years, pro-life sentiment among young adults has actually increased by 8 percentage points. That's a pretty big gain,” New says.
New also talked about the results seen from the question 'should abortion be legal under any circumstances?” Support for abortion fell by by 14 points to 34% among young adults, which New affirms is a pretty big drop, asserting that pro-life sentiment has certainly grown since 2023.

New recommends pro-lifers "get the word out about this" information, especially the pro-life sentiment among young adults.
"Gallup didn't really advertise that. They put the findings on their website, but that was not included in the write-up or the press release. I think that's an important finding. We did lose some ground among young adults right after Dobbs. We gained some of that back. I think that's important, and it deserves more attention."
The Dobbs case is Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, a Mississippi case that led to the U.S. Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade in 2022.
