States voting on abortion include Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Maryland, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska (where there are two initiatives), New York, Nevada, and South Dakota. Most of the initiatives ask voters whether they want to either provide a "fundamental" right to abortion or make it a constitutional right. (Click here for a summary of the ballot initiatives)
Talking about this on American Family Radio, former Representative Marilyn Musgrave (R-Colorado), now with Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, said pro-lifers need resources and people talking about these issues.
"We're doing our best at Susan B. Anthony Pro-life America helping other groups in these states fight these ballot initiatives," she stated. "But I would say to you that it is extremely daunting with the amount of money the other side has."
She warned voters not to be deceived by the wording in some of the initiatives. "Voters need to be aware that lies are being told – and we need to [combine] our resources, our efforts to rebuke these lies and let people know what is really happening with this issue in our country."
Vice President Kamala Harris – the Democratic Party's candidate for president of the United States – has argued numerous times that abortion is "a woman's most fundamental right." Also, she is the first vice president to ever visit a Planned Parenthood abortion clinic.
