Issue 1 would amend the Ohio Constitution for unrestricted abortion with a “yes” vote on Nov. 7.
Amy Natoce of Protect Women Ohio answers a question being asked by abortion supporters which is why be concerned about it when there is a federal law against it.
“It would allow late-term abortion at any point in pregnancy,” she warns, “including through the ninth month when we know an unborn child can feel pain, and of course is viable and capable of living on its own.”
So passage of Issue 1, she concludes, would “invalidate” Ohio’s pro-life ban on partial-birth abortion.
If there is a majority “no” vote, Ohio's ban on abortions will remain in effect and can be enforced whether the federal government enforces the federal law or not.
The gruesome practice of partial-birth abortions can be credited to a Dayton, Ohio abortionist named Martin Haskell.
