Pro-Life Americans from all over the nation will soon be gathering in the nation's capital for a celebration.

National Celebrate Life Day on Saturday, June 24th will honor the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling overturning Roe v. Wade, the 1973 decision that imposed abortion on all 50 states.

Heartbeat International's Andrea Trudden tells AFN her organization is working with Students for Life, Live Action, 40 Days for Life, and other pro-life groups to make the event happen.

"We're going to be joining together in Washington, D.C. at the Lincoln Memorial for a big rally at 10:30 in the morning … with our pro-life friends and anybody who supports the Dobbs decision and all that it has done so far and the many lives that it's already saved within just this past year," Trudden relays.

She notes that since last year's ruling, Texas has led the way and helped other states develop plans to help women in crisis carry their babies to term.

"We were able to kind of use that as a test case, if you will, to really equip our pregnancy help organizations and see what hurdles needed to be overcome, what challenges needed to be overcome as well to really be at the forefront to be there for moms and babies and families," Trudden says.

Dr. Alveda King, Ryan Bomberger, and Lila Rosa are among the many guests who will be speaking at the free event. Anyone interested in attending is encouraged to register online.
