Seeking forgiveness, abortionist confronted about brutal truth

A church pastor’s sermon convinced an abortionist to leave the industry behind and to speak up for the unborn after a career of taking lives.

Dr.  Jansen Wong, a California-based OB/GYN, became an abortionist and performed first-trimester abortions for many years. After an 18-year-old patient died after giving birth, he explained to CBN, the physician was devastated and pleaded to God for help and healing.

“I prayed, ‘God, if you can get me through this mess, I’ll be yours,'” he told CBN. “And so that’s how I became a Christian.”

The doctor began attending church, where God began working on his heart, and it was there Wong heard a sermon that described the truly barbaric reality of a late-term abortion. The doctor realized he, too, was guilty of taking the lives of unborn babies.

“That what I was doing with my small plastic tube,” he said, “was no less barbaric than what people who were doing these partial birth abortions were doing.”

Dr. Wong used his past to publicly speak out against Proposition 1, California’s abortion amendment. It passed overwhelmingly 65%-35% on Election Day.
