Students for Life of America – in conjunction with the Institute for Pro-Life Advancement – looked into all 783 Christian and Catholic colleges and universities and found that more 100 of those schools had a "relationship" with Planned Parenthood. Lauren Enriquez, a spokeswoman for SFLA, says that's roughly one in seven.
"… We defined a 'relationship' with Planned Parenthood as things like promoting Planned Parenthood on their website as a resource to students; hosting events with Planned Parenthood; encouraging students to engage in internships or job opportunities with Planned Parenthood," she explains.
Enriquez also told AFN that the organization spent several months after completing its research reaching out to those schools, asking them to sever their ties with the abortion giant and instead promote local pro-life pregnancy centers.
"And we were actually able to achieve victories at one in three of the schools that did have a relationship with Planned Parenthood," she shares. "So, while we started with 103 schools that had ties to Planned Parenthood, that number dropped down to 69."
Enriquez explains that Students for Life is continuing to work with the rest of the schools, hoping to bring the number down even lower – and perhaps to zero. SFLA encourages individuals to contact those remaining schools and urge them not to place their trust in the abortion giant.
