The list is generated by Americans United for Life, a pro-life legal organization, which favored pro-life leaders in Arkansas for the second year in a row.
Jerry Cox of the Family Council of Arkansas says the pro-life community deserves praise for the ranking but, even better, is knowing fewer children are being aborted in The Natural State.

“I think it's important for us to realize, though, that this fight for human life is not over,” he says. “We have to focus on a way to reduce the demand for abortion.”
As far as who is fighting that battle, Cox says pro-life legislators passed approximately 20 pro-life bills that were signed by Gov. Asa Hutchinson. Leslie Rutledge, the state’s attorney general, has faithfully defended them against pro-abortion lawsuits, he said.
Other states that ranked at the top were Louisiana, Arizona, Oklahoma and Indiana.
