American Family News, the news division of American Family Association, will begin live coverage beginning at 6 p.m. CST at AFN.net.
A main AFN election story will be updated throughout the night. It will provide readers with timely updates and breaking news as election results pour in from the East Coast, the Midwest and the Deep South.
A second AFN story will update AFN readers on voter referendums that are on the ballot in 22 states. Those measures are asking voters to vote “yes” or “no” on voter ID, female-only sports, abortion, tax hikes, and more.
Midterm elections historically favor the opposing party, and polls predict the U.S. House will flip to Democrats after Election Day today. There are also high-profile Senate races, and gubernatorial races, in which Democrats hope to flip several red states and create a "blue wave."
Voter turnout has been a key topic for weeks. President Trump's job approval is hovering at 39% percent, with voters telling pollsters they are frustrated with rising grocery prices and the cost of gasoline.
With political history and polls not looking positive for Republicans, election night will determine if Republican voters came out in mass to turn back the growing influence of socialists and communists within the Democratic Party.
American Family Radio, the nationwide radio ministry of AFA, will begin live coverage of election night beginning at 6 p.m. CST. The program will feature AFA President Tim Wildmon, several co-hosts, and call-in guests.
