If you look at the Polymarket odds show Darline Graham with a 69% chance of winning against Rep. Ralph Norman.
Graham, who was appointed to finish out the term of her late brother Lindsey Graham, now wants to carry on his legacy by winning a full six-year U.S. Senate term in November, and she has the power of President Donald Trump’s endorsement behind her.
Norman has served South Carolina’s 5th congressional district in the U.S. House since 2017. He began his political career in South Carolina’s House of Representatives, serving from 2005-2007 and again from 2009-2017.
Prior to politics, Norman (shown right in AP photo) spent more than 40 years as a commercial real estate developer. His business experience has been a key focal point of campaigns through the years.
As previously reported on AFN, in her recent debate with Norman, Graham made a serious gaff when she admitted she knew very little about foreign policy.

“The wild card is whether Trump's endorsement is going to be as effective in a race where Darline Graham has just had poor performance after poor performance, not only in the one debate that she participated in, but also in some viral videos that have really shown that she doesn't understand the issue. She doesn't know what she's talking about. So, my view, it's almost a 50-50 when you all of those different factors."
Graham’s admission has triggered a wave of criticism from prominent Republicans and national security experts.
Former South Carolina Governor and U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, who supports Norman, issued a sharp rebuke, stating, “Lindsey Graham was well informed on the United States’ national security. Darline Graham admits she’s not. This is not something you inherit. And it’s critical in the U.S. Senate.”
So Ellis is prepared to make a prediction.
“I think it's going to be close. And my prediction, if I had to guess, is that Ralph Norman will pull off the upset only because Darline Graham has performed so poorly. If she had had some good responses, at least competent on the issues, I think that the Trump endorsement would carry her. But because of how terribly she has performed, I give the edge to Ralph Norman. But I think anything could happen. And it's all going to be about turnout."
Ellis says whoever wins will be an overwhelming favorite to defeat Annie Andrews the Democrat nominee in November.
