Sandy Rios: Arctic Frost is 'Watergate times 5,000'

A Christian radio host says the subpoenas unearthed from the Biden-era operation are evidence of "lawfare."

Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley (R), who is heading up the investigation into the Joe Biden administration's targeting of political enemies following the 2020 election, has unveiled almost 200 subpoenas that include nonpublic, confidential grand jury material obtained through whistleblower disclosures.

When President Donald Trump and his team were trying to sort out the shenanigans of the contested 2020 election, the former president directed his FBI and other agencies to secretly investigate Trump's team and allies in their operation called Arctic Frost.

They reportedly sought certain communications with media companies, including Fox News, CBS, Sinclair, and Newsmax, and with "any" members and aides in Congress. They also sought sweeping financial information from conservative entities.

Now that Trump is back in power, Sandy Rios says the details of Biden's attempt to purge his political enemies are coming out.

Rios, Sandy Rios

"They were trying to destroy Donald Trump, but they were destroying hundreds, really thousands … because we can include the J6ers in the process," she recently told the "Today's Issues" crew. "It's Watergate times 5,000."

On Wednesday, Sen. Grassley released 197 subpoenas showing the scandal went all the way to the top.

"It was, of course, Joe Biden, but it was Chris Wray," Rios noted. "We've got it in writing now."

She said the former director of the FBI and former U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland (pictured above) ordered some of this, which cost hundreds of Republicans an absurd amount of time and money to defend themselves.

"Arctic Frost was the vehicle by which partisan FBI agents and DOJ prosecutors could improperly investigate the entire Republican political apparatus," Sen. Grassley said at a press conference this week. "Contrary to what Smith has said publicly, this was clearly a fishing expedition."

"This is lawfare," Rios asserted. "This has been a destructive thing."

According to one of the targets, Texas Senator Ted Cruz (R), Arctic Frost was done "in complete contravention of the Constitution, of free speech, of basic rights of privacy."
