Speaking recently on "Fox & Friends," Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) broke down how the Democrats' foreign policy in recent years directly accelerated Iran's nuclear development.
He said the U.S. military's coordinated bombings Saturday on three Iranian nuclear facilities were necessary because of what Barack Obama started.
"He flooded the cash into that regime to enable them to start building nuclear weapons, and then, under Joe Biden, it accelerated," Cruz stated. "Joe Biden lifted all the sanctions, refused to enforce the sanctions, and over $100 billion flowed into Iran as a result of the Democrats' foreign policy."
Sen. Cruz went on to explain that while the United States' actions against Iran were certainly about protecting our ally, Israel, they were more about protecting America from Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBM).
"The only reason the ayatollah wants an ICBM is to travel across the Atlantic and to detonate a nuclear warhead right where you and I are right now," the senator asserted. "I believe if [Iran] had a nuclear weapon, the odds are unacceptably high that they would use it to murder millions of Americans."
He pointed out that the ayatollah is not quiet about how he views Israel and the United States, routinely chanting, "Death to America" and referring to Israel as "the little Satan" and America as "the great Satan."
Cruz also discussed the "real danger" of Iranian illegal aliens, "sleeper cells carrying out acts of terrorism here in the United States" after enjoying four years of open borders under Joe Biden.
While he commends the vigilance of the Trump administration and law enforcement across the country, some Democrats maintain the weekend strikes were unwise, unconstitutional, and grounds for the president's impeachment.
