Eventually, Democrats will have to address Biden’s declining state, Devine says

Democrats are refusing to discuss the facts surrounding the current investigation into who was running the country during Joe Biden's presidency.

Speaking on Fox News Channel's "Fox & Friends" program, Miranda Devine discussed the continuing investigation into White House chain of command during Joe Biden's presidency, beginning by calling the Democrats' refusal to address the issue a “copout.”

"They don't have any excuse for allowing an adult president to stay in that role and endanger the country, so they're just walking out, making a big show of it, pretending that they're virtuous, when they're not. They had a duty to protect the country, and they failed to exercise it. It was obvious to all of us that there was something wrong with President Biden, and it must have been crystal clear to them because they met with him,” Devine said.

She said Biden's questionable frame of mind created threats to our national security.

"It's serious because we need to know who was running the country at the time when Biden presided over all these disasters, one of which we're seeing play out in the Middle East, but he also allowed hundreds if not thousands of Iranian and Chinese terrorists into this country, which is a ticking time bomb."

Nearly six months after Joe Biden left the White House, Senate Republicans are still scrutinizing his presidency, this week kicking off the first in what’s expected to be a series of congressional hearings this year on his mental fitness in office.

Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee brought in three witnesses Wednesday — none of whom served in Biden’s administration — to scrutinize his time in office, arguing that Biden, his staff and the media must be held accountable. Democrats boycotted the hearing and criticized Republicans for “arm chair diagnosing” Biden when the committee could be looking into serious matters.

Sen. John Cornyn of Texas, who co-chaired the hearing, said that they will aim to “shine a light on exactly what went on in the White House during Biden’s presidency.”

It's one thing to investigate. Getting answers is another, Devine said.

"I think it's' going to be difficult, but there may be charges laid against people. It’s fraud to sign a document without the president knowing."
