Former Colorado lawmaker blames the Polis culture for fire-bomber attack on Jews

A former Colorado state representative believes the state bears responsibility for creating a

Residents in that community are still recovering after a crazed Egyptian national who is in the country illegally deliberately used Molotov Cocktails to severely burn 15 people who were taking part in an annual march in support of Israel.

Forty-five-year-old Mohamed Sabry Soliman (shown right) has been charged with multiple counts of attempted murder.

He confessed to authorities that he deliberately planned the carnage and vowed that he would do it again.

Gordon Klingenschmitt is a former U.S. Navy Chaplain who later served in the Colorado legislature.

He says the state bares some responsibility for what happened in Boulder, especially its highest-ranking official.

"Jared Polis is to blame. I blame him directly. He is the governor, and he just signed into law a bill that directly impacts people like Mohammed Soliman. The State of Colorado and the law enforcement officials of Colorado are not allowed to arrest Soliman. They're not allowed to cooperate with ICE. It is now state law that our local law enforcement is prohibited from cooperating with federal immigration authorities who are trying to deport terrorists."

The law calls for these agreements to terminate by next year, and also bans state and local governments from participating in any scheme to detain immigrants with a private prison company.

Experts expect the move to force federal immigration officials to rethink overall enforcement strategy in the state, and ultimately to reduce civil immigration detention there.

And Klingenschmitt is angry that a federal judge has blocked an order by the government to deport Soliman's wife and five children back to Egypt.

"This is a bad guy. He deserves the death penalty. And his wife and children should be deported back to Egypt."
