Trump's right about Canada's military

According to a Christian educator and activist, the Canadian military is too weak and too woke.

In the ongoing political back-and-forth between U.S. President Donald Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, the former has made it clear that like many allies in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), America's northern neighbor needs to invest a great deal more in its military.

Noting that the U.S. pays Canada $200 billion in subsidies every year, Trump has spoken about the neighboring country's "very low" military spending, saying, "They think we're going to protect them with our military, which is unfair."

"Why would we pay $200 billion a year in subsidies to Canada when they are not a state? You do that for a state, but you don’t do that for somebody else’s country," Trump said.

He suggested that Canada would see their taxes come down and their security would increase if they become a state.

Dr. Charles McVety, president of Canada Christian College, says Trump is right.

"This Liberal government has decimated the military, and we can only amass a total of 2,000 soldiers," he reports. "I think Jamaica could whoop Canada. It is disgusting what they have done to this country. Canada has a proud military history of fighting against the Nazis and fighting for freedom, but no longer."

He says the disease is the same one the U.S. military had under Joe Biden, "but ours is 10 times more woke."

"They even ask soldiers to declare their transgender status and all kinds of nonsensical things that are really disgusting," Dr. McVety offers as an example.

But he thinks the Trump administration will and should force Canada into paying its fair share of military protection.

Trump, who wants to make Canada America's 51st state, has referred to Justin Trudeau as a "governor" in recent months.
