A conservative news editor is happy to see the formation of a new new task force to combat antisemitism, especially in schools and on college campuses.

According to the Department of Justice, this is a top priority.

Campus Reform's Zachary Marschall notes an important aspect.

"The creation of this task force gets at the root problem we saw with the antisemitism wave during the Biden administration, which was that Democrats refused to accept and to confront antisemitism that comes from the far Left," he tells AFN.

He says hatred cannot be solved without recognizing and confronting it "in all its iterations."

The new task force will be coordinated through the DOJ's Civil Rights Division and will include representatives from the Department of Education, the Department of Health and Human Services, and other agencies as it develops – creating what Marschall calls a "viewpoint-neutral" way to record, log, track, and prosecute antisemitic incidents against all people who commit them, no matter what their political ideology is.

"The country needs to understand that Jew hatred and violence against Jews does not just come from Nazis; it also comes from far-Left extremists who are Marxist and communist at heart," he asserts. "It happens at both sides of the spectrum."

Marschall believes this task force will help authorities gather the information they need "to go after antisemites in a way that doesn't bias anyone or shield anyone based on their political ideology."

President Trump's executive order includes additional measures to combat antisemitism. Anyone who has suffered harassment or discrimination can file a complaint with the Civil Rights Division.
