Cuban's insulting rant cues the ladies

Women who have worked with Donald Trump are coming to his defense after a high-profile surrogate for Kamala Harris accused the former president of being "intimidated" by "strong, intelligent women."

Democrats keep expressing disdain for half of the American people. On the heels of President Joe Biden calling Trump supporters "garbage," billionaire Mark Cuban – an outspoken supporter of Harris, the Democratic presidential candidate – has demeaned women who support the former president.

Cuban was on "The View" last week and, when trying to ding Donald Trump, ended up insulting millions of women who support the former president:

Cuban: "Donald Trump, you never see him around strong, intelligent women. Ever. It's just that simple. They're intimidating to him. He doesn't like to be challenged by them."

But from his political start Trump has had strong, intelligent women on his staff: Kellyanne Conway, Hope Hicks, Sara Huckabee Sanders among them – including American Family Radio host Jenna Ellis.

"Having worked for Donald Trump myself, I can tell you personally that not once was he ever degrading to me or to anyone who was around me – and I was around a lot of very strong, intelligent women," Ellis tells AFN.

Cuban has since taken to X to apologize, but RNC chairman Lara Trump – who was put into that position by her father-in-law, Donald Trump – isn't convinced the billionaire wasn't accurately portraying the Democrats' true feelings about conservative women.

"Go back to Hillary: deplorable, irredeemable, smelly Walmart people – remember that?" Lara Trump stated on Fox News. "Remember how they've called us all fascists and Nazis? Obviously, we're garbage, according to Joe Biden."

She pointed out that Trump's respect for strong women goes back to even before his political career.

"Before it was actually politically advantageous for anybody, Donald Trump – when he built Trump Tower – hired a woman to do that job," said Lara Trump. "If you go look at the Trump organization, the top executives and some of the people who have been with Donald Trump the longest are women in his company."

And as for an alleged disdain for "intelligent" women, Donald Trump's wife – former First Lady Melania – speaks five languages.
