A brother knows a brother, and so do Minnesotans, Markell says

The head of a Minnesota based messianic Jewish ministry is cheering because Gov. Tim Walz' own brother opposes his ideology.

Jeff Walz recently warned in a posting on Facebook that Democratic vice-presidential candidate Tim Walz is not the "type of character" who should make decisions about America's future.

Jeff Walz apparently has so little confidence in his kid brother that former President Donald Trump said on Fox News that Jeff has endorsed his White House run. The brothers reportedly haven't spoken in eight years.

Jan Markell is founder and director of Olive Tree Ministries, and host of Understanding the Times on American Family Radio.

Tim Walz’ ties to China make it an easy call to oppose the candidacy of her own state’s governor.

“A lot of us in Minnesota are cheering for the brother because Tim Walz is an admirer of China and Mao Zedong, a blatant Maoist. Walz went over there 30 times. Everyone knows that."

More than one Walz celebrates Trump

Jeff Walz isn’t the only family member supporting Donald Trump.

A photo has circulated on social media showing eight Walz relatives in Nebraska proudly supporting Trump.

The image was posted by Charles W. Herbster, a former Nebraska gubernatorial candidate and Trump ally, Newsweek reported.

A spokesperson for Herbster told Newsweek the people in the picture are cousins of Tim Walz and are related to him through his grandfather’s brother, Francis.

When the image started making the rounds, descendants of Francis Walz confirmed their relationship to Tim Walz in a text message to The Associated Press.

Markell says Jeff Walz clearly stated he's 100-percent opposed to Tim Walz’ ideology.

“Why? Because that ideology is communism, Maoism, and We in Minnesota see that. We’ve lived with a dictatorial, Maoist supporter for a number of years since he was elected in 2019. So, we're paying the price for voting for somebody who leans towards being pro-China, and the brother is totally denouncing the Democrat party and the leaning towards all things China and communism."

But Markell thinks unfortunately a lot of low information voters will vote for Harris-Walz because they won't pay attention to election details.
