Axios used convention speech to pin another flip-flip on Harris

Kamala Harris is being accused of another major flip-flop, one that is tall and long, and is the hated enemy of many open-border Democrats.

News website Axios reported in a Tuesday story the Democrat nominee supports the U.S.-Mexico border wall, which she has vocally opposed for years. The reasoning for that, the story states, is because she told the Democratic National Convention she would sign a bipartisan Senate immigration bill if she is elected to the White House.

"Here is my pledge to you: As president, I will bring back the bipartisan border security bill that [Trump] killed, and I will sign it into law," Harris said on the closing night of the convention.

The controversial bill, which Republicans ultimately opposed because it heavily favored illegal immigration, includes a section that would have pledged millions of dollars to continue border wall construction.

The article from Axios, a website that leans left, never directly states Harris has done a 180-degree turn on a border wall, but the story has taken off in the news media and on social media as another example of her flip-flopping on issues such as gun confiscation, fracking, and ending private health insurance.

After the Axios story published, a story by MSNBC said Axios had used her convention speech as a “news hook” to suggest she is now backtracking on border wall funding.

Ryan Walker, of Heritage Action, tells AFN that Harris has been attempting to “reinvent herself” since she replaced Biden as the Democrat nominee.

“And, unfortunately for her,” Walker says, “that means reversing every policy position she has taken for her entire political career.”

AFN has reported on Harris’ audacious flip-flops, such as confiscating AR-15 rifles, but that flip-flop like many others is coming only from unnamed campaign staffers because Harris has yet to give a media interview.

CNN is scheduled to air an interview with Harris and her running mate, Tim Walz, tonight.
