Would Biden sacrifice people of Israel to win a second term?

Tuesday's presidential primary in Michigan could be a test to see if Joe Biden can overcome Muslim backlash in that state.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made it abundantly clear that Israel will not bow to pressure from the Biden administration to back down in its war against Hamas terrorists. The Jewish leader's determined stance is generating increasing political problems for Biden, who is trying to appease the radical Muslims in Michigan – a key state in the 2024 presidential election.

Gary Bauer, chairman of the Campaign for Working Families, also serves on the executive board of Christians United for Israel. He tells AFN that as the polling continues to worsen for the president, it appears the White House believes Biden must carry the state of Michigan to have any chance of being re-elected.

"And for the Democrats to carry the state of Michigan, they've got to have a big turnout among Muslim voters in that state, which is a growing bloc of voters; and a growing turnout of young college-educated people, who increasingly are not only anti-American but are anti-Israel too," he explains.

Bauer argues that without those two voting blocs, Biden is going to lose Michigan. "And that probably means by itself that Donald Trump is the next president of the United States," he adds.

And Bauer says it is telling that radical Michigan Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib is encouraging Muslim voters to vote "uncommitted" in Tuesday's Michigan primary.

"Congresswoman Tlaib is the most radical Islamist in American politics, which is bad news for the Democrat Party," says the conservative leader. "Between now and Election Day, her only leverage is on Joe Biden and scaring him to death – and she's effectively doing it."

In an email last week, Bauer explained why he labels Rep. Tlaib as "radical":

"She openly worked with Hamas operatives in the United States. Her anti-Semitism has repeatedly caused controversy. And in the immediate aftermath of the October 7th massacre by Hamas, Tlaib refused to condemn the vicious murders. In fact, she did it again just last week. The House of Representatives unanimously supported a resolution condemning the sexual terrorism committed by Hamas. But Tlaib refused to support the resolution. She voted 'present.'"

According to The Associated Press, the effort to vote "uncommitted" in the Democratic primary has the backing of political leaders throughout southeastern Michigan – including Dearborn, where (according to Census data) nearly 55% of residents are of Middle Eastern or North African ancestry.
