The lies bind the Bidens

A constitutional attorney says the sworn testimony from a former Hunter Biden associate is stunning proof that Joe Biden openly lied to voters when he was running for office.

During a recent closed-door session, the House Oversight Committee reportedly obtained testimony from Hunter Biden's former associate, Devon Archer, that Hunter would sometimes put then-Vice President Joe Biden on speakerphone while meeting with business partners. Archer testified that over the span of 10 years, Hunter Biden put his father on the phone more than 20 times.

Jauregui, Phillip (Ctr for Judicial Review) Jauregui

Phillip Jauregui, senior counsel and director of the Center for Judicial Renewal at AFA Action, says Archer has confirmed that President Joe Biden lied to the American people when he said he had no involvement in his son's business dealings.

"Not only did he have involvement, but he was personally involved in over 20 conversations -- either on the phone or in person -- with Hunter Biden's foreign business dealings," Jauregui continues.

He submits that the president is guilty of committing one of the most corrupt acts in U.S. governmental history.

"Not only the act itself, the withholding of a billion dollars as a bribe to the Ukrainian government to fire the prosecutor that was going after Hunter Biden's company, but then a presidential candidate lying about it in the midst of a campaign, bald-faced lying," the attorney remembers. "We now know it was untrue. The logs show that these meetings took place, that Joe Biden was present. He was the brand. These deals wouldn't have taken place if it weren't for Joe Biden showing up and pushing the deal using his influence."

But Jauregui says it remains to be seen how this will play out politically.

All about the politics

Columnist Robert Knight says it was purely politics that compelled President Biden to finally acknowledge the existence of his seventh grandchild.

The president, who has attempted to make a commitment to family central to his public persona, has faced increasing criticism from political rivals and pundits for failing to acknowledge his relation to the four-year-old child of Hunter Biden and Arkansas woman Lunden Roberts.

"The Bidens clearly wish little Navy Joan Roberts would just go away and not embarrass them anymore," Knight observes. "But I think they've realized that her presence as the illegitimate child of Hunter Biden and the illegitimate grandchild of President Biden has become so obvious to the public that they have to, in effect, come clean."

He suspects Biden's continued sinking poll numbers were a strong motivation for that.

"I think it's purely political," says Knight. "I think everything they're doing is anti-child. From gender transitions to abortion right up to the moment of birth, they have not shown a whole lot of interest in children, other than exploiting them for Democratic campaign points."

While he knows he cannot judge their hearts, Knight says the Bidens' actions speak volumes.

"This poor little girl is finally being acknowledged I think as an expedient political action, not out of love for a beloved grandchild or daughter," he concludes.
