A conservative Christian activist is convinced America's survival depends on saving the hearts and minds of the country's children from the radical LGBTQ+ agenda.

On Saturday, President Joe Biden welcomed hundreds to the White House for a delayed "Pride Month" celebration. "So today, I want to send a message to the entire community – especially to transgender children: You are loved. You are heard. You're understood. And you belong," the president said.

According to The Associated Press, the event was aimed at showing the LGBTQ+ community that the Biden administration "has their back" at a time when red states and conservative governors are banning gender-manipulation surgeries and hormone therapy for gender-confused minors, as well as prohibiting public schools and government entities from forcing educators and employees to refer to transgenders by their "pronouns of choice."

Gary Bauer, chairman of the Campaign for Working Families, says the "predictable rhetoric" can be expected from such events. "They continually label as 'haters' those who resist the effort, particularly in our schools, to expose young children to graphic information about adult sexuality," he tells AFN.

Bauer argues that today's Democratic Party is committed to working through the government schools to rip children away from the religious values their parents have taught them at home.

"It is going to be one of the biggest and perhaps most significant battles for the future of America of anything that is going on," he warns, "because if this battle for the hearts and minds of our children is lost, I don't see how the country survives."

As part of the White House event, Biden announced that the Department of Education's civil rights office will appoint a new coordinator to work with schools who oppose efforts by parents and some state governments to protect young children from books that promote the homosexual agenda.

The gathering on Saturday was initially scheduled for Thursday, but was postponed because of poor air quality from hazardous air flowing in from Canadian wildfires. But the haze that blanketed a huge swath of the East Coast this past week lifted over the nation's capital, allowing the president and First Lady Jill Biden to host the party on the South Lawn.
