Ministry leader: Biden not part of God's 'new world order'

A Messianic Jewish leader thinks Joe Biden's recent reference to a "new world order" has biblical implications.

During an address Monday before the Business Roundtable, President Joe Biden said he believes we are at an "inflection point" in the world economy that happens every three or four generations:

Biden: "60 million people died between 1900 and 1946 and since then we've established a liberal world order, and that hadn't happened in a long while. A lot of people died, but nowhere near the chaos. Now is the time when things are shifting and there's going to be a new world order out there, and we've got to lead it. We've got to unite the rest of the free world in doing it."

Jan Markell is founder and director of Olive Tree Ministries and host of the radio program "Understanding the Times." She says Joe Biden isn't going to be the leader of this new world order.

"It's going to take a very sharp international player who is going to come on the scene …. He may be on the scene already but unidentified as this global leader," she explains. "And [that person will] put together a new world order and it will be very satanic. It will be very demonic."

But there is good news, she continues: "God has his new world order, and that's going to be the Millennium where everything works perfectly well and where he's ruling out of Jerusalem. But I think you see the forces of good and evil sort of clashing already as they try to establish this one world system."

Markell contends this "one world system" is coming out of the catch phrase "new world order."
