While America winds down its 20-year war in Afghanistan, Republican members of Congress continue to criticize the chaotic situation, and more than 30 are demanding that President Biden resign or be impeached. According to Politico, U.S. officials have even shared intelligence with the Taliban, with one defense official saying, "Basically, they just put all those Afghans on a kill list."
But instead of taking responsibility, the Biden administration has maintained he has made no mistakes and has shifted blame onto the former administration.
During a recent appearance on American Family Radio, Gary Bauer, chairman of the Campaign for Working Families, said prayer is important, but it needs to be followed by action from Christians who never get involved in politics.
"If America goes down, the world will sink into another dark age," he warned. "You've got to be involved! Register to vote. Pay attention! Use what's happening to talk to family members that maybe thought when they voted for Biden or didn't vote that this kind of liberal approach would work. Point out to them what's happening and the increased danger that they're in."
Bauer also told the radio program that another group needs to be held accountable for what is happening.
"I'm waiting for some of my -- quote, unquote -- 'friends' that were Never Trumpers in the Republican Party," he said. "I'm not going to name them; some have been close friends. They bear part of the responsibility for giving this country a president that is incapable of leading us in these dangerous times."
Senators Marsha Blackburn (TN), Josh Hawley (MO), and Lindsey Graham, as well as Representatives Byron Donalds (FL) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (GA) are among the GOP lawmakers who are calling on Biden to resign for his dereliction of duty.
