If Californians want change for life, then Newsom's gotta go

The editor of a pro-life news outlet says abortion rights groups are urging Californians to support Governor Gavin Newsom (D) in the upcoming recall election, as they are "desperate" to keep his anti-life policies in place.

Politico is one of several news outlets reporting that Planned Parenthood and NARAL Pro-Choice America, as well as the newly-formed Women Against the Recall, are phone banking, knocking on doors, posting digital ads and social media messages, and holding events with Newsom and other lawmakers as ballots are mailed to voters ahead of the September 14 recall election.

"Gavin Newsom has been a strong abortion advocate for a number of years, so strong that he has forced Californians to pay for abortions," LifeNews Editor Steven Ertelt tells American Family News. "He's forced Christians, churches, [and] Christian organizations to pay for killing babies in abortion, so he is as radical as they come. Every pro-life voter in the state of California, if they want to change direction in a pro-life direction, they need to vote to recall Gavin Newsom."

With poll numbers being "super close," Vice President Kamala Harris is expected to make a push for Newsom this Friday in California – a move that does not surprise Ertelt.

"On end-of-life issues, he has been awful," says Ertelt. "They have pushed euthanasia and assisted suicide in that state, so pro-abortion and pro-euthanasia on down the line."

"On pro-life issues, he's been terrible," the LifeNews editor concludes.
