Why Dems reject real refugees

A Cuban-born anti-communist activist says the Biden administration appears to only want terrorists and freeloaders to come to the U.S., not genuine refugees who are trying to escape political and economic repression in their home countries.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has had no problem carrying out Joe Biden's open-border policy of allowing illegal aliens to flood across the southern border, even if they are drug smugglers, human traffickers, or terrorists. But the beleaguered people of Haiti and Cuba, who are true political refugees, will not enjoy the same welcome.

"Apparently the Democratic administrations only want Mideast terrorists and Central American and South American freeloaders to come to the U.S., not genuine refugees, which was the traditional method of allowing people into the United States, helping these people that are actually escaping political and economic repression in their home countries," laments Humberto Fontova, a Latin American expert who escaped Fidel Castro's regime in 1961. "The Statue of Liberty must have tears on her face right now."

Fontova believes Mayorkas is playing politics.

"Cuban-Americans voted for Trump at the highest rate of any ethnic group,” he notes. "72% of Cuban-Americans voted for Trump. That's a higher percentage than even Southern whites, so naturally the Democrats don't want to let these people in."
