People everywhere have had enough

A persecution watchdog has good news about and hope for the Church in places where Christians are heavily persecuted.

Jeff King of International Christian Concern (ICC) recently assured American Family Radio that Christianity is alive and well in China, despite the communist control.

"There might be 200 million Christians in China now and a vibrant, dedicated Church," said King.

In Iran, people have had enough of Islam.

The ayatollahs, high-ranking Shi'ite Muslim religious scholars recognized for their expertise in Islamic law and theology, came in and resolved to build a proper Islamic state and ultimately take Islam to the world, but King said people got less enchanted by the idea over time.

"First with the leadership, and then with the system of government, then finally, they got sick of Islam," the ICC spokesman reports. "They said Islam is the problem, and so today, the mosques are empty, but the Church is exploding."

King added that Iran is "probably one of the very top few countries where Christianity is growing the most."

Meanwhile, he said Christians in Nigeria could use our prayers.

"This is a story that's been going on for 20 years," he noted. "There's been up to 100,000 Christians murdered, 3.5 million Christian farmers have had their land stolen, and the government never does anything. That's because radical Islamists control the police, the army, the intel."

Strangely, the United States continues to fund those efforts.

Christian persecution also occurs in an African region called the Sahel.

"It's kind of like the top third of Africa, and it stretches all the way from the left coast to the right," King detailed. "A lot of this has become lawless territory. It's really owned by ISIS, complete radical Islam, and they are trying to rebuild what's called a caliphate, which is just an Islamic kingdom where they could spread attacks and be a safe haven."

King is optimistic about what the Trump administration will do to address the persecution in these areas.
