Democrats are circling the wagons, warning that President Trump and Republicans are out for “revenge.” They are counting on the media to misrepresent any attempts at accountability and justice.
People need to be held responsible for the Biden administration’s lawlessness, especially for the bald-faced deception over Joe Biden’s mental decline. Somebody other than Mr. Biden has been running the country into the ditch for the past four years – and Americans deserve to know who it was.
A massive coverup kept this dangerous situation from the American people. We were told not to believe our lying eyes when videos revealed jarring episodes of presidential senility.
In an interview on Jan. 17 with Bari Weiss, founder of the online news site The Free Press, House Speaker Mike Johnson related a conversation he had with Mr. Biden on Feb. 24 last year:
He asked Mr. Biden: “Sir, why did you pause LNG exports to Europe? Liquefied natural gas is in great demand by our allies. Why would you do that? ‘Cause you understand we just talked about Ukraine, you understand you are fueling Vladimir Putin’s war machine, because they gotta get their gas from him.”
“I didn’t do that,” Mr. Biden reportedly said.
“Mr. President, yes you did,” Mr. Johnson told him. “It was an executive order like three weeks ago.”
Mr. Biden finally recalled that he had indeed signed an order, but said it called only for studying the effects of LNG.
“Sir, you paused it, I know,” Mr. Johnson, who represents Louisiana, recalled saying. “I have the export terminals in my state. I talked to those people in my state, I’ve talked to those people this morning, this is doing massive damage to our economy, national security.”
Mr. Johnson adds, “He genuinely did not know what he had signed. And I walked out of that meeting with fear and loathing because I thought, ‘We are in serious trouble – who is running the country?’”
Bear in mind that Democrats insisted that Mr. Biden was sharp, in charge, and that videos showing otherwise were “cheap fakes.”
The façade fell apart during Mr. Biden’s disastrous presidential debate in June (pictured above), which led to his ceding the Democratic nomination to Vice President Kamala Harris.
Doubts about Mr. Biden’s mental acuity had surfaced even when he was vice president during the Obama administration. Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, California Republican, recalled Mr. Biden rambling repetitively during debt ceiling negotiations back in 2011.
Special counsel Robert Hur released a report in the Biden classified documents case on Feb. 5, 2024, suggesting that Mr. Biden, whom he had interviewed for hours, not be charged because a jury would see only “a sympathetic, well meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”
Ms. Harris called Hur’s report "gratuitous, inaccurate and inappropriate."
Mr. Biden “held a last-minute White House press conference and remained defiant – becoming clearly agitated when he faced questions about his age and memory,” Fox News reported. “Declaring his memory was ‘fine,’ Biden then referred to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi as the ‘president of Mexico.’"
Mr. Biden wasn’t the first president afflicted with neurological issues. In October 1919, President Woodrow Wilson suffered a stroke and was incapacitated for 17 months while his wife Edith and his doctor, Cary Grayson, assured the nation that he was okay and not to worry.
During this time, Congress passed 28 bills that became law without his signature. Edith was effectively president. Americans did not know the extent of Wilson’s condition because they didn’t have electronic media.
Someday, we may learn about what role Jill Biden played in the Biden coverup. Many suspect she was an updated version of Edith Wilson.
For now, we have an exuberant new president who is very much in charge.
On his very first day back, President Donald Trump issued 28 executive orders. He pulled the U.S. out of the World Health Organization and the Paris climate accord. He rescinded 78 Biden directives, including at least 11 dealing with diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI).
He moved immediately to secure the border, overturn climate hysteria mandates, and declare that, for all federal purposes, “there are only two genders – male and female.”
That order protects the privacy of women and girls in bathrooms and locker rooms and ends legal jihads based on refusing to use false pronouns.
It also answers the question that stumped Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson: “What is a woman?”
The order defines female as “a person belonging at conception to the sex that produces the large reproductive cell,” referring to eggs or ova. The order doesn’t cite xx (female) or xy (male) chromosomes, since some people have irregular combinations.
Mr. Trump also issued a blanket pardon of 1,500 people convicted in the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot. The downside is that this includes some who really did attack police officers.
Meanwhile, Mr. Biden, whose supporters often lectured us that “no one is above the law,” pardoned his own family members, Jan. 6 committee members, Covid czar Anthony Fauci and former Gen. Mark Milley.
Sullen Democrats are digging in. They are feverishly filing lawsuits and egging on the 42% of federal employees in a recent survey who said they would “resist” the new administration.
Remember President Ronald Reagan’s historic response to the illegal strike by air traffic controllers in August 1981, seven months after he took office?
Bring it.
