The White House and the Department of Homeland Security are outraged after a Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) team discovered that the Federal Emergency Management Agency sent 59-million dollars to luxury hotels in New York City to house illegal aliens in violation of the law.
DHS Secretary Kristi Noem (at right with Trump) announced the firing of the four staffers responsible for the move and added that "I have clawed back the full payment that FEMA deep state activists unilaterally gave to NYC migrant hotels."
Noem said the FEMA funding was for the Roosevelt Hotel that serves as a base of operations for Tren de Aragua, the Venezuelan criminal gang, and was also used to house the killer of Laken Riley, the Georgia nursing student.
Ira Mehlman is media director for the Federation for American Immigration Reform.

"They deserved to be fired. They were taking taxpayers money and housing illegal aliens. In luxury hotels in New York City."
Mehlman says that is not what FEMA money is intended for.
“FEMA is intended to help Americans who are faced with a crisis, whether it's a natural disaster, or man-made disaster, to get their lives back on track. So, this is just another example of the entrenched bureaucracy making its own policies rather than heeding No. 1, the laws of this country and No. 2, the policies of the administration in power."
