A conservative military watchdog is grateful Sen. Tommy Tuberville has introduced legislation that would prevent the Biden administration from providing health care to illegal aliens at VA facilities.

The Alabama Republican recently went on Fox News Digital and lashed out at President Joe Biden for providing health care administrative services to illegal immigrants utilizing Department of Veterans' Affairs (VA) facilities.

"The lines now in the VA's are getting longer. Our funds that are supposed to go to the veterans are going to these illegal immigrants coming across. It's a disaster," Tuberville stated. "It's just one of the many, many things that's causing this country to really go to its knees because of all these illegals coming into our country."

AFN contacted Elaine Donnelly, president of Center for Military Readiness, for reaction.

"We have so many veterans who need health care – quality health care," she emphasizes. "Now, people who are not citizens of this country seem to be going to the head of the line and getting the needed medical care ahead of our veterans."

The CMR leader is pleased Tuberville introduced the No VA Resources for Illegal Aliens Act (S.3490) in December, along with Illinois Republican Representative Mike Bost (H.R.6744), that would ban such action.

"We're so grateful to Senator Tuberville for once again standing up against this sort of thing in the Pentagon – and he's right to do so," Donnelly affirmed. "I hope he does get some bipartisan support on legislation to stop this."

Rep. Bost, a Marine veteran, cited "failed border policies" of the Biden administration as the culprit behind the national security crisis at the border, allowing massive numbers of illegal entries into the country.

"I believe any dollar taken away from a veteran is a promise broken to those who served," the GOP lawmaker said when he introduced his legislation in mid-December. "I've demanded answers from the Biden administration and been stonewalled every step of the way."

While both bills currently have several cosponsors, none are Democrats.
